I am learning Althea on the guitar. I pretty much had to after i heard the 1990-3-15 performance. The openin riff hass the same chord sequence as the "shall we go you and I" part of Dark Star. Once i figured that out I realized why Althea is in my top 5 songs.

I highly recommend doing a youtube search for Althea 3-28-81. There are many nice close-ups of Garcia playing what I believe to be the finest version of Althea.

Jdarks is amazing. I found that site yesterday right after i put up my Althea post. Normally I go to rukind for my Dead guitar lessons. As to the other post of the vid. There are some nice Jer close ups. Thanks. If anyone could tell me where I could find perhaps music for a MLBJ that would be amazing. I used to know how to play it years ago. Then in one of my glorious moments of cleaning I threw out the tabs for it.
